Qualcomm New Policy in China

Currently, anti-monopoly inspection has been the history. For Qualcomm, the best development strategy 

is participation in the rising of China, not protecting themselves. Earlier, Qualcomm 

sponsored the Boao Forum for the first time.

Qualcomm is trying to make Chinese government and market trust that they are able  to 

bring social influence in more fields as a leading enterprise in mobile field. At present, 

Qualcomm is cooperating with the global non-profit organization-Sesame Workshop to help China pre-school children study road safety by Qualcomm’s Wireless Reach Plan. The content can 

be visited by all network available devices, including smart phone and tablet PC, and 

download in Android and iOS store and so on. In addition, Wireless Reach also involves 

education, medical, start one’s own business, public safety, and environment protection 

and so on. This project shows its strong social influence brought by a companies products 

and service. For Qualcomm, it is mobile broadband that changes people’s life.

Qualcomm will consider local government and people’s need previously when they arrive 

a new country, not their own projects. With this strategy, Qualcomm will have a much 

better development in China and accelerate Chinese government to achieve some policies and targets, such as Chinese medical care.
