The Takeoff of Wireless Charger in 2015

As early as 2009, Palm published Touchstone wireless charger. Later, there are a series 

wireless charge device, but it did not get popularized.

In 2015, Apple watch and Samsung Galaxy S6 adopt wireless charger, which means 

wireless charge device will takeoff this year. It is estimated that the shipment of wireless 

will increase to 120 million in 2015, compared with 55 million in 2014. It will increased to 2 

billion in 2024. In the world, there are three wireless charge standards: Qi, PMA and A4WP. Qi get the most support, including Samsung, Sony, Nokia, HTC, LG, Qualcomm and so on; PMA also has lots of supporters, for example, Samsung, Sony, ZTE, LG. It is hard to 

decide which standard can unify the market finally, but some companies gradually remain 

neutral. Only a unified standard can quicken the unity process of wireless charger. 

We can imagine that it will be such convenient if the wireless charge standard is as unified 

as DVD and all the mobile phone, tablets and digital camera can be wireless charged 

through the same charging pad.
