TD-LTE Brings Users More

During the NPC&CPPCC, Guohua Xi, the chairman of CMCC says that he is confident with TD-LTE. 

With the practice last year, CMCC has been confident with TD-LTE and TD-LTE has been mature gradually in system technology, supply chains and mobile internet 

loading.TD-LTE cam compete with FDD after the network is built. CMCC planed to release 200 kinds 

4G mobile phone in 2014, but in fact, it achieves 1000 kinds and 60% of them are mobile 

phones above USD 160, which is helpful to popularize and promote TD-LTE technology. Other sides, TDD is advantageous, because its asymmetric design is moresuitable to be used in mobile internet. CMCC has applied for FDD license, which is to have a try in integration of networking. If TDD frequency spectrum is used up, CMCC can use 

FDD spectrum. Once foreign countries realize CMCC can do the integration better, they 

will adopt TD-LTE without worry.

Mentioned about the plan in 2015, Xi says that as the biggest carrier in China, CMCC will 

pay its attention to the 4G network deep covering both inside and outside, including city 

and countryside, and improve the TD-LTE network quality from all sides.
